It uses comprehensive business architecture methods and tools to optimise the alignment of all aspects of business ecosystems, overcoming resistance & risks and seizing opportunities & benefits.
The B4BE method consists of four main stages:
- In the ‘Define the business’ phase, the strategic design of the organization, in the form of a digital ecosystem business model, is created, based on the existing or newly developed mission, vision and strategy of the organization.
- In the ‘Design the business’ phase, the tactical design of the organization, in the form of a digital ecosystem operating model, is created, including the gaps that need to be bridged to make the business model function well in the ecosystem.
- In the ‘Change the business’ phase, digital solutions are defined for these gaps, and a roadmap is drawn up that will make the new business and operating model function within the set timeframe.
- In the ‘Manage the business’ phase, the strategic and tactical change is managed by measuring the impact of the digital solutions on the strategic and tactical design and continuously adjusting it.
